testing equipment under specific conditions
High Accelerated Life Testing and Stress Screening
Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) accelerates product reliability testing during product development. Your products will be tested to temperatures, thermal shock and vibration well in excess of their design specifications, with the goal of determining design weak points, failure modes, then having the opportunity to fix those prior to production. HALT is widely used in the aerospace and defence industries, for medical products, anywhere that reliability and customer satisfaction comes before the bottom dollar.
Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) is a reduction of the stress levels seen in the HALT process, used for testing production units. Samples from each batch, or the entire batch, can be tested to validate the production process and weed out latent defects not discovered during the manufacturing process, before these make it into the field. Our HALT/HASS chamber is capable of thermal shocks to 100°/min and can handle a payload up to 145 kilograms. 6 degrees of freedom vibration is controlled from 5 G to 75 G.
vibration testing
Electrodynamic Shaker
Useful for impact shock testing and controlled vibration, the ED shaker has a shock rating of 26 kN, and a slip table rating of 500 kg. Vibration frequencies range from 10 Hz to 2.5 kHz. This system is utilised for MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160 based vibration testing.

Centrifuge
Our centrifuge is approximately 3 metres in diameter and spins at over 4 times per second! Designed for sustained shock testing, it can also be used for calibrating/testing accelerometers and shock sensitive devices up to 100 G.
various capacities
Temperature, Humidity and Thermal Shock
- We have three environmental chambers, with various capacities:
- Temperature range: +180°C TO -70°C, with humidity levels from 10% to 98% RH and 400 litres volume.
- Temperature range: +200°C TO -100°C, and thermal shock rates up of approx 70°C – 100°/min and 1,000 litre volume.
- Temperature range: +120°C TO -45°C and 100 litre volume.
Altitude/ Pressure Chamber
With a 400 litre volume, the altitude chamber ranges in pressure from 10 kPa (equivalent to over 50,000 feet altitude) to 300 kPa absolute. The chamber is also capable of rapid decompression, evacuating within 10-15 seconds to close to a full vacuum.
